Scents
Haiku: Japanese poem that contains 17 syllables,broken up into three lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables
lost inside myself,
long after i'd given up,
i still search for you...
longing for your scent
to freshen, fall tenderly
on my barren heart.
thence i simply wait,
neither chasing nor running
but simply breathing;
that I may capture
that quaint, unmistakable,
precious smell of you.
