Haiku: a type of short Japanese poetry with 17 syllables in a 5, 7, 5 pattern
It's no coincidence that both birds and angels have wings. - Anonymous
as has been my wont,
today I fed the sparrows
and cheery robins.
when by the ivy,
on the deck seat I noticed
a tiny feather
sparkling in the sun.
Azul had come to visit!
and he let me know.
his song had ended
he lived, he somersaulted,
cheeped and flew away;
but he still lends me
wings that lighten my heart,
and brighten the day.
